Hello friends, my name is J.J.

I’m a YouTuber and columnist endlessly preoccupied with couple niche topics, including Canadian-American identity, fixations of the middle class, world leaders, and cartoons.

I make weekly videos on my self-titled YouTube channel and write a (usually) weekly column for The Washington Post, in which I discuss Canadian politics for an international audience.

Working on those two jobs requires a lot of research and brainstorming, and I can’t always find a good place for every idea or interesting fact I come across. So I’m hoping Substack might be it. I promise to keep things short and sweet.
